Our society is becoming increasingly polarized.

Fierce debates about the refugee crisis and the place of Islam in our society have become an everyday reality. The ‘grey’ middle ground with its different views, room for nuance and countless personalities is being drowned out by the extreme voices of today.

Dare to be Grey aims to put a stop to the polarization that is dividing our society through promoting an open debate. By creating a platform with room for personal stories and diversity, anyone’s opinion can become the focal point of tomorrow’s debate. Dare to be Grey invites everyone to go beyond black and white thinking and to speak up for the grey middle ground.

What do we do?

Dare to be Grey facilitates an online platform against polarization through our different social media channels. In addition, we organize events regularly, we are developing an educational programme and our magazine GRIJS (‘GREY’) will be launched soon. We also provide …

Workshops

What is polarization and how could societal issues be approached in a ‘grey’ way? Through workshops, we give insight into the dynamics of polarization and the solutions that ‘grey’ thinking can offer.

Lectures

For a quick introduction to polarization and thinking ‘grey’, we give presentations and guest lectures.

Campaigns

Through (internal) campaigns we can turn organizations, schools and municipalities ‘grey’.
